Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL), which rose 2.46% or 3.46 points to trade at 143.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) added 1.20% or 0.320 points to end at 26.930 and Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) was up 1.09% or 0.360 points to 33.290 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB), which fell 3.06% or 3.180 points to trade at 100.700 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) declined 2.61% or 11.57 points to end at 431.53 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was down 2.36% or 0.85 points to 35.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 150 to 97 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.35% or 4.24 to $1228.44 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.15% or 0.07 to hit $47.90 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.12 to trade at $50.89 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.34% to 18.7732, while EUR/MXN rose 0.30% to 20.5211.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 99.05.
