Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM), which rose 2.14% or 0.880 points to trade at 42.040 at the close. Meanwhile, La Comercial (MX:LCMRUBC) added 1.89% or 0.35 points to end at 18.91 and Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) was up 1.83% or 2.990 points to 166.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which fell 3.34% or 0.830 points to trade at 24.050 at the close. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) declined 2.49% or 1.070 points to end at 41.830 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was down 2.27% or 1.05 points to 45.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 90 to 81 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in La Comercial (MX:LCMRUBC) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.89% or 0.35 to 18.91.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.62% or 7.90 to $1267.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.48% or 0.22 to hit $46.45 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.74% or 0.35 to trade at $47.95 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.02% to 17.9818, while EUR/MXN fell 0.49% to 20.4564.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 94.12.
