Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Sports, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC), which rose 5.38% or 0.210 points to trade at 4.110 at the close. Meanwhile, Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) added 4.15% or 0.080 points to end at 2.010 and Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS) was up 3.52% or 0.070 points to 2.060 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Is Gmyo (IS:ISGYO), which fell 6.71% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.390 at the close. Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN) declined 4.56% or 0.360 points to end at 7.530 and Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) was down 3.07% or 0.150 points to 4.740.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 182 to 151 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eczacibasi Ilac (IS:ECILC) rose to all time highs; up 5.38% or 0.210 to 4.110. Shares in Turcas Petrol (IS:TRCAS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.52% or 0.070 to 2.060.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.20% or 2.48 to $1266.68 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.40% or 1.19 to hit $48.43 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.31% or 1.21 to trade at $51.20 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.35% to 3.5651, while EUR/TRY fell 0.63% to 3.8766.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 99.12.
