Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Sports and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.68% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogtas Kelebek Mobilya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:DGKLB), which rose 4.39% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.190 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) added 4.24% or 0.050 points to end at 1.230 and Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) was up 3.48% or 0.130 points to 3.870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which fell 5.35% or 0.41 points to trade at 7.26 at the close. BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) declined 5.22% or 4.65 points to end at 84.35 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was down 5.07% or 2.70 points to 50.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 219 to 137 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.50% or 6.55 to $1292.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.52% or 0.85 to hit $56.92 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.49% or 0.98 to trade at $66.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.44% to 5.4497, while EUR/TRY rose 0.10% to 6.1179.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 97.303.
