Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 4.46% or 3.5 points to trade at 82.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 1.81% or 1.52 points to end at 85.50 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 1.18% or 1.60 points to 136.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 2.30% or 8.7 points to trade at 369.5 at the close. Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) declined 1.64% or 7.8 points to end at 468.8 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 1.05% or 2.35 points to 221.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 326 to 297 and 67 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.30% or 0.17 to $56.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.21% or 0.13 to hit $63.52 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.55 to trade at $1419.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.44% to 10.5765, while USD/SEK rose 0.61% to 9.5053.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 97.752.
