Investing.com – China stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher while losses in the Banking, Life Insurance and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite declined 0.32%, while the SZSE Component index added 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Shen Ma Industry Co Ltd (SS:600810), which rose 10.03% or 1.820 points to trade at 19.970 at the close. Meanwhile, ButOne Information Corp XiAn (SS:600455) added 10.01% or 2.140 points to end at 23.510 and Liaoning Fu-An Heavy Industry Co Ltd (SS:603315) was up 10.00% or 1.150 points to 12.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hainan HNA Infrastructure Investment Group Co Ltd (SS:600515), which fell 10.04% or 1.120 points to trade at 10.040 at the close. Zhejiang Three Stars New Materials Co Ltd (SS:603578) declined 7.25% or 1.82 points to end at 23.27 and First Tractor Co Ltd (SS:601038) was down 6.81% or 0.390 points to 5.340.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Zhejiang Satellite Petrochemical Co Ltd (SZ:002648) which rose 10.02% to 10.32, Guangdong Eastone Century Technology Co Ltd (SZ:300310) which was up 10.00% to settle at 5.28 and Westone Information Industry Inc (SZ:002268) which gained 9.99% to close at 21.14.
The worst performers were Harbin Gloria Pharmaceuticals (SZ:002437) which was down 10.02% to 5.57 in late trade, Giant Network Group Co Ltd (SZ:002558) which lost 9.93% to settle at 20.05 and Dongjiang Environmental Co Ltd (SZ:002672) which was down 8.00% to 13.80 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 776 to 593 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Hainan HNA Infrastructure Investment Group Co Ltd (SS:600515) fell to 52-week lows; losing 10.04% or 1.120 to 10.040. Shares in Harbin Gloria Pharmaceuticals (SZ:002437) fell to 5-year lows; falling 10.02% or 0.62 to 5.57.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was up 6.29% to 21.79.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.58% or 7.10 to $1211.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.35% or 0.24 to hit $67.39 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.38% or 0.28 to trade at $72.53 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.45% to 6.8780, while EUR/CNY rose 0.15% to 7.8239.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 96.35.
