Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Non-Metal Minerals and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.48% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 0.750 at the close. Meanwhile, Unacem (LM:CEL) added 0.83% or 0.020 points to end at 2.400 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 0.46% or 0.050 points to 11.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alicorp (LM:ALI), which fell 3.59% or 0.210 points to trade at 5.640 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) declined 2.84% or 0.040 points to end at 1.370 and Edegel (LM:EDE) was down 1.96% or 0.070 points to 3.510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 16 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) unchanged to 52-week lows; unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 to 0.750.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $60.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $63.83 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1182.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.05% to 3.1635, while EUR/PEN rose 0.49% to 3.5562.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 95.22.
