Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Food & Beverages and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM:PML), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to trade at 0.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Sider (LM:SID) added 4.62% or 0.009 points to end at 0.204 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 3.94% or 0.050 points to 1.320 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Milpo (LM:MIL), which fell 3.77% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.550 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 1.09% or 0.050 points to end at 4.550 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was down 0.93% or 0.040 points to 4.260.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 17 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.78% or 0.47 to $60.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.46% or 0.29 to hit $64.17 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 2.09% or 24.60 to trade at $1201.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.11% to 3.1610, while EUR/PEN rose 1.29% to 3.6055.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 94.21.
