Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Beverage and Holding Companies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were SMI (CS:SMI), which rose 3.58% or 95 points to trade at 2745 at the close. Meanwhile, Sonasid (CS:SOND) added 2.43% or 20 points to end at 840 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 1.66% or 1.50 points to 90.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Risma (CS:RIS), which fell 4.78% or 9.30 points to trade at 185.15 at the close. Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) declined 4.61% or 5.90 points to end at 122.00 and BMCI (CS:BMCI) was down 4.32% or 27 points to 606.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 12 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Risma (CS:RIS) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.78% or 9.30 to 185.15.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.05% or 0.47 to $44.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.22% or 0.60 to hit $48.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.31% or 3.40 to trade at $1093.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.16% to 10.7940, while USD/MAD fell 0.21% to 9.8460.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 97.65.
