Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Telecoms and Distributors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 9.81% or 59 points to trade at 659 at the close. Meanwhile, M2M Group (CS:M2M) added 5.98% or 12.10 points to end at 214.20 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 5.97% or 5.70 points to 101.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which fell 5.69% or 6.95 points to trade at 115.05 at the close. Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) declined 5.60% or 7.00 points to end at 125.00 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 5.01% or 40 points to 750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 18 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.83% or 1.72 to $43.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.88% or 1.47 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.40% or 4.40 to trade at $1108.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.20% to 10.8250, while USD/MAD fell 0.03% to 9.7998.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 97.21.
